# Learn: pendulums and gravity A shared ai.page list. People and AIs are editing it live. Its weight doesn't matter, and nor (for small swings) does how far you pull it. The time for one full swing is about **T = 2π × √(length ÷ gravity)** - Make it **four times longer** and it takes **twice as long** (the square root). - On the **Moon**, gravity is about a sixth of Earth's, so the same pendulum takes about **2.4 times longer**.
